Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

I am currently located in D’Hanis, TX, just outside of Hondo. All sessions are currently conducted via telehealth, so you can connect with me from anywhere in the state!

How much does therapy cost?

For therapy sessions, I charge $125 for a 50-minute visit. Reduced rate spots may be available on a limited basis based on individual needs. Payment is accepted via cash or credit card at the time of each session. You may also be eligible to use an HSA or FSA to pay for your mental health treatment.

Do you take my insurance?

As an LPC associate, I am not able to accept insurance for my services. However, I specialize in helping clients work through their mental health needs and can provide that care at a reduced rate for those who qualify. If you are interested, we can talk more about the payment options available to you during our initial consultation.

What type of therapy do you offer?

I provide a custom therapy experience for each client that draws upon modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT), and Trauma-informed Care. These modalities work together to help clients gain insight into current issues and behaviors, build positive coping skills, and develop healthier strategies for responding to life’s challenges. I strive to create an environment of safety and compassion where clients can explore their feelings, gain clarity, and make lasting changes in their lives.

How often will I need to attend sessions?

Generally, I recommend having weekly therapy sessions, although this can vary depending on the individual’s needs and goals. We may meet biweekly or less frequently if progress is made and our treatment objectives are met.

During our sessions, I encourage open dialogue between myself and the client in order to explore their feelings, gain clarity, and make lasting changes in their lives. Together we will work to set realistic and achievable goals tailored specifically for you so that you can have the best possible outcome from your therapeutic journey.

Will therapy sessions be confidential?

Absolutely. All sessions are held in strict confidence and I take the utmost care to ensure that privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

I recognize the importance of maintaining your privacy. I understand that the information shared during our sessions is personal and sensitive, and will not be discussed with anyone else without your expressed permission.

In order to ensure confidentiality, all teletherapy sessions are conducted over a secure video conferencing platform that utilizes end-to-end encryption to protect your data and information during transit. Additionally, I am also bound by ethical standards and professional regulations to keep any information shared between us confidential.

When might my information be shared?

As an LPC Associate, I discuss case details and treatment plans with my supervisor during supervision in order to receive guidance, feedback, and direction on how best to approach each client’s unique situation. This typically involves providing information such as the client’s diagnosis, treatment plan and progress, and the rationale for interventions, as well as any ethical considerations that need to be taken into account when forming a therapeutic relationship.

I take all measures necessary to ensure that this information is kept confidential between myself and my supervisor and is not shared with anyone else without explicit permission from my clients.

There are also certain situations in which a therapist is legally obligated to share information without the consent of the client. This includes but is not limited to cases when there is reasonable suspicion of domestic violence, abuse, neglect, suicidal thoughts or intentions, or harm to oneself or others. In such cases, it is the responsibility of the therapist to disclose any relevant information that could help ensure safety and prevent potential harm.

What can I expect during therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process between you and your therapist. During sessions, I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in order to gain insight into the issues that may be impacting your life.

I will also offer guidance and support throughout the therapeutic process to help you work through difficult emotions or find new solutions for addressing your problems. You will always remain in control of this process and my goal is to help empower you to make positive changes in your life.

How long will therapy last?

The length of therapy sessions will vary depending on the individual and the complexity of their issues. Some people may need just a few sessions to get back on track, while others may require more in-depth therapeutic interventions over a longer period of time.

My goal is to provide you with quality care that meets your needs and helps you achieve lasting, positive results. I am here to provide you with the support, guidance, and tools you need to reach your goals, whatever they may be. With my help, I believe that you can make meaningful and lasting changes in your life.
